Hotel Uzbekistan
The last stop on our trip was the capital of Uzbekistan, Tashkent. We stayed at a hotel that was the highlight of the city during the Soviet times, Hotel Uzbekistan. The furnishings were dated, but it still had a certain fun beauty to it, and we really enjoyed our visit to the city!
Judging by some of the stories we've heard about old Soviet hotels, we wonder if anyone was watching...if so, they certainly got a good show!
